Rahr Malting Co. Selects Sage ERP X3Rahr Malting Co. recently selected Sage ERP X3 to streamline operations and increase efficiency by consolidating numerous disparate systems.
A family owned company that produces and distributes malt and industry related brewing supplies, Rahr Malting operates malt production plants in Minnesota and Alberta, Canada, as well as a barley procurement and distribution facility in North Dakota. Brewers Supply Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rahr Malting, offers a full array of products and support for the craft brewing industry.
The company especially favored the solution’s ability to adjust to their business, rather than having to change their operations to suite the software. The 4GL Integrated Development Environment (IDE) allows Sage ERP X3 to be personalized to unique company requirements without changing source code. It also enables development of custom applications, if necessary, while keeping them safe from the standard functional updates of the system.
Additionally, Rahr Malting was attracted to Sage ERP X3’s low total cost of ownership. Developed to minimize both costs and installation time by making the most advanced features a standard and simplifying parameterization, Sage ERP X3 does not require a large IT team to operate. It also is highly intuitive to use and new users' training is minimal. And, its integrated design makes it easy to activate new functions, connect new users or provide a new branch with a fully operational management system without the need for custom interfaces.
